Responsibilities- Create a safe work environment and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Respond to Lytx coaching events and conduct monthly safety meetings with drivers.
- Investigate customer complaints and resolve work problems.
- Perform monthly ride‑alongs, providing coaching on Safe Driving principles and DOT compliance.
- Interpret company policies for drivers and enforce safety regulations.
- Coordinate driver coaching and assign delivery duties using Power BI, SAP, and Google tools.
- Ensure delivery schedules meet customer needs while staying within budget.
- Manage work hours, approve timekeeping entries, and enforce attendance policies.
- Maintain DOT inspection reports, manifests, and shipping papers.
- Process cylinder orders from branch stores and coordinate stock with the Plant Manager.
- Collaborate with Branch Manager, ABOM, and Plant to optimize delivery schedules.
- Adjust work procedures to align with production schedules and truck capacities.
- Provide leadership and coaching to associates, including performance evaluations and corrective action.
- Train new employees and cross‑train associates to ensure continuity during shortages.
- Serve as a secondary resource for the Branch Manager during absences or complex situations.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school diploma with five years of related experience.
- Prefer five years’ experience distributing industrial gas or related industry, and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous materials handling.
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Forklift operation and certification.
- CDL license preferred, with required endorsements for deliveries.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Capability to work with diverse individuals and maintain a drug‑free workplace.
- Strong reading comprehension of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
