Job Details
Processing and Harvest positions within Tyson. The role requires the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 pounds, standing 8‑10 hours a day.
Responsibilities- Processing: use knives, hooks to bone out or trim pieces; operate powered equipment (saws, whizard knives, skinner machines); may assist in packaging (bagging, boxing).
- Harvest: use knives and hooks to remove hide from cattle, trim large pieces; operate powered equipment (saws, air knives); may operate heavy equipment.
- Processing: extreme cold and wet; temperatures 33–49°F.
- Harvest: extreme hot, wet, and humid; temperatures 80–100°F.
A Shift: 5:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday (including Saturdays). Availability for overtime required.
Qualifications- Physical ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Willingness to complete required training and perform duties assigned.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a urinalysis screening (post‑offer health assessment).
- Certain roles may require background checks, if applicable.
Base pay: $22.35 per hour. Additional compensation may be available based on shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
