The Sanitation Tech will be responsible for cleaning production equipment, machines, and work areas in the food processing facilities. Responsible for handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, preparing sanitizers, preparing chemical concentrations, handling, and storing the chemicals, and managing chemical accidents.

• Reading chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals they will be using.
• Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment.

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• Produce production experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and environments both hot and cold.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

• The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example: two arms, two legs or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
• The ability to time movements in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object.
• The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
