Our Orthopedics Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This 10‑bed department provides clinical care specific to the age of the patient population served in the medical/surgical orthopedics unit. • 12 Hour Shifts
• 10 Beds

You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan‑of‑care intervention and serving as a patient‑care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

• Plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the medical/surgical orthopedics unit.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• 1 year of acute care RN experience required.
