About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical / Surgical Department, you will provide specialized care to patients in a 25‑bed Orthopedics unit. This 12‑hour shift, 1:5 nurse‑to‑patient ratio focuses on high quality, team‑based care, advanced treatment, and patient education.
How You'll Contribute- Plan, coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Medical Surgical Orthopedics unit.
- Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
- Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals and support needs.
- Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. - Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
- 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required.
