Registered Nurse; RN Emergency Department

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – PRN, rotating shifts – union position – wage $42.14–$78.11/hr commitment‑incentive bonus $10,000–$20,000, shift differential $2.25–$4.50 per hour. 12‑hour shifts.

• Perform plan‑of‑care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current state RN license in Washington.
• Bachelor or Associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
• 1–3 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department (required).
• Charge nurse experience preferred.

• Commitment‑incentive bonus $10,000–$20,000.

Emergency Department staffed 24/7 with emergency physicians, nurses, and staff trained in emergency care. The department is a Level IV Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center with 9 beds and 12‑hour shifts.
