Our Behavioral Health Unit features:

  • 32 licensed inpatient psychiatric beds
  • 16 licensed residential crisis triage facility beds
  • 10 residential home beds

How you'll contribute

The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Unit. Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) - Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) designed to assist adults in overcoming the barriers to recovery from persistent behavioral health conditions. This includes assistance with housing, finances, training, employment, addiction and medication management.

Essential Functions

  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
  • Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

    Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
  • Exposure:
    Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens may be present.
  • Physical Requirements (typical):
    Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, keyboard entry, and repetitive hand/arm movements; occasional sitting, squatting, and kneeling; rare running or climbing.
  • Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood/body fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
