Golf Course Superintendent Pasco Golfland – Pasco, WA
Pasco Golfland is seeking a dedicated and motivated Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and care of our premier practice facility. This position works directly with the Owner/General Manager and plays a key role in maintaining the quality, playability, and overall presentation of our golf course and driving range.
About Pasco GolflandWe are a family‑owned, high‑quality practice facility located in Pasco, Washington. Our 27‑acre property features:
- A 9‑hole, Par 3 golf course
- A 175‑foot‑wide, grass‑tees‑only driving range (we never use mats)
- Two large additional practice greens for putting and chipping
We serve golfers of all skill levels — from first‑time players to competitive tournament athletes — and operate nearly year‑round thanks to our favorable climate.

The Superintendent will manage, schedule, and actively participate in the maintenance of the entire property, including grounds and buildings. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf care, landscaping, irrigation, and tree care.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal course conditions year‑round.
- Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor environmental conditions and implement sustainable practices for water usage, fertilization, and pest control.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, purchasing supplies, and planning long‑term course enhancements.
- Mowing and turf care across the property
- Irrigation operation, management, and repairs
- Supervise seasonal staff
- Daily course setup
- Driving range tee maintenance
- Ball collection and cleaning
- Tree maintenance
- Equipment operation and upkeep
- Addressing property needs proactively and independently

Start times vary depending on sunrise, weather conditions, seasonal demands, and course needs.
Typical Schedule Example:- Monday–Thursday: 8‑hour shifts (approximately 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, including 30‑minute lunch)
- Friday & Saturday: 4‑hour shifts (approximately 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
- Sundays:
As needed, rotating schedule - Weekends:
Rotating full weekends on/off
- Evening irrigation rotation (e.g., 3 nights on / 4 off, 4 nights on / 3 off)
- 30–60 minutes per evening for water startup, spot sprinkler adjustments, and course inspection
- Possible additional seasonal support staff
Hours vary by season and course conditions.
Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of golf course maintenance experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, horticulture, or related fields with a focus on golf courses.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care, construction processes, and general maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with landscaping equipment and tools necessary for course upkeep.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification or degree in turf management or related disciplines is preferred but not required.
- Washington Pesticide License (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication skills
