Position Overview

The RV Detailer & Lot Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of RVs on the lot while assisting with vehicle movement and staging. This role includes detailing the interior and exterior of RVs to ensure they meet dealership standards and safely maneuvering RVs around the lot for service, sales, and customer pickup. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in outdoor environments.

As a safety-sensitive position, pre-employment drug screening is required, including for non-psychoactive THC.

Key Responsibilities RV Detailing Duties
  • Clean and detail the interior and exterior of RVs, including washing, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming.
  • Remove dirt, stains, and grime from all surfaces, including carpets, upholstery, and exteriors.
  • Apply protective coatings such as wax, sealants, and interior treatments.
  • Ensure RVs are cleaned and presentable before customer delivery or display.
  • Maintain detailing supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and care.
  • Report any damages, needed repairs, or detailing supply shortages to the service or operations manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Lot Porter Duties
  • Move, park, and stage RVs and trailers safely around the lot for sales, service, and customer pickup.
  • Maintain an organized lot, ensuring RVs are parked correctly and accessible.
  • Keep the lot clean and free of debris, snow, or hazards.
  • Assist with dealership inventory organization and tagging.
  • Fuel and prepare RVs for customer pickup or display.
  • Report any damage or mechanical issues to the service department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in RV, automotive detailing, or lot maintenance is a plus but not required.
  • Must have previous forklift experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maneuver and park large vehicles safely (RV driving experience is a plus).
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and in wet or damp conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces for washing and roof cleaning.
  • Ability to enter, exit, and drive various RV sizes safely.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments, including extreme heat, cold, or rain.
Compensation
  • $19 to $24 per hour DOE
