Wage: $17.65 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

- Reporting for assigned shifts on time, communicating clearly, and demonstrating suitable physical abilities to perform assigned tasks and duties, while providing excellent service and leadership.
- Promoting sales through active discussions with guests, offering product recommendations, and discussing current promotions and service information.
- Performing all work in compliance with laws, policies, and confidentiality regulations, and reporting any discrepancies to the Store Manager or appropriate personnel.
- Identifying and supporting the development of associates who show promise or interest in increased responsibility.
- Practicing Food Safety – Active managerial control for all food handling departments, ensuring staff are properly trained and following food safety practices.
- Guiding front-end and perimeter department operations by supervising and working as a cashier when a higher manager is absent.
- Closing the store in the evening in the absence of the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or higher-level managers.
- Answering guest complaints or inquiries.
- Empowering associates to use “This One's On Us” cards to deliver exceptional service.
- Securing the store and performing as Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager or the Assistant Store Manager.
- Ensuring compliance with established security, sales, and record‑keeping procedures.
- Assisting in grocery paperwork, merchandising, stocking, ordering, inventory preparation, and overall cash management procedures.
- Participating actively in the store's accident reduction plan: monitoring slip/trip hazards, cleaning spills, recognizing safety features of machinery, PPE usage, and evacuation plans.
- Assisting in managing associates throughout the store in the absence of higher managers, overseeing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.
- Performing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding, disciplining, and resolving complaints.
- Displaying excellent leadership and communication skills when addressing associate matters.
- Understanding and enforcing company policies.
Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma or GED; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
