Outdoor Sport Associate

Overview

Our Outdoors Sporting and Firearm Associates provide amazing customer service that encourages our customers to make Grigg’s/ACE Hardware their store of choice.

Outdoor Sporting Goods and Firearm Associates will assist with receiving, stocking, and pricing all merchandise in the Sporting Goods department. They will keep the department clean and orderly while providing our customers with Amazing Customer Service. The ideal candidate for the position will be knowledgeable about all forms of outdoor activities, such as fishing, hunting, camping, RVing, boating, and good old-fashioned barbecues, grills, smokers, and more.

• Assist customers in a friendly manner with their questions to find the products they are looking for.
• Assist in creating a safe, professional work environment.
• Assist with unloading freight, stocking shelves, maintaining backstock, rotating stock, and cleaning shelves.
• Assist in setting signage for sales.
• Assist with regular store maintenance and cleaning of the sales floor, back rooms, and outdoor areas.
• Assist customers in multiple service areas, including camping, fishing gear, hunting, State Licenses, and firearms.
• Help customers with special orders, entering the customer information for follow-up, and follow through on the sale.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Backup cashier.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Open availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Possess self-management skills
• Able to perform basic math and computer skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, and bend
• Must have the ability to use a pallet jack and hand truck.
• Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent physical stamina.

Pay: $17.13/hr.

Schedule: Part-time, 20-30 hours per week. Workdays will vary, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
