Job Description
Pasco Machine is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Industrial Outside Sales Representative to lead pump repair and new pump sales efforts throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
Under the general direction of the Owner and Pump Shop Management, this position is responsible for maintaining and growing customer accounts while delivering exceptional customer service. The Outside Sales Representative serves as the primary liaison between customers and our Main Shop and Pump Shop teams, ensuring accurate quoting, efficient scheduling, and outstanding project execution.
This is a base salary + commission position, offering strong earning potential for a motivated industrial sales professional.
Compensation & Benefits- Base Salary + Commission on All Sales

- Maintain and grow existing industrial customer accounts through frequent on-site visits and phone contact.
- Proactively pursue new accounts and business opportunities aligned with Pasco Machine’s strategic direction.
- Identify opportunities for pump repair, rebuilds, upgrades, and new pump sales.
- Build long-term partnerships by delivering responsive service and technical solutions.
- Understand and execute the quoting process, accurately estimating labor and parts costs.
- Develop detailed purchase requests, work orders, quotes, and supporting documentation (including drawings and prints when required).
- Coordinate closely with Pump Shop Management, Main Shop Foreman, Scheduling, and other personnel to ensure projects move efficiently from quote to completion.
- Assist with managing rush or priority orders to exceed customer expectations.
- Participate in weekly shop walkthroughs and review meetings to monitor schedule adherence and communicate updates.
- Work closely with customers to troubleshoot pump issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
- Act as liaison between customers and shop personnel to ensure clear communication and positive working relationships.
- Deliver products when required and maintain professional representation of Pasco Machine in the field.
- Minimum five (5) years of sales and/or account management experience in:
- Industrial pump repair
- Rotating equipment
- Food processing
- Or other applicable industrial environments
- Extensive customer service experience required.
- Willingness to travel throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, including occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer demands.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- Driving abstract required upon application.
- Basic mechanical and machining knowledge (pump and rotating equipment experience strongly preferred).
- Skilled negotiator and closer with the ability to identify customer needs and present effective solutions.
- Self-starter with strong motivation and accountability.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with shop teams and management.
- Effective problem-solver who thrives under urgent timelines.
This position requires the ability to:
- Walk and stand for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in varied and adverse weather conditions.
- Perform physical activities including lifting, pulling, reaching, kneeling, and climbing.
- Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs consistently.
