Management Level: Class 6
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
- The Refrigeration Mechanic must be able to perform various functions within the refrigeration department. Among those tasks are the ability to read pressure, temperature, vacuum and levels for Steam, Air, Water and Refrigeration processes within the plant and make appropriate corrections if required and/or notify appropriate management personnel. The team member must be able to troubleshoot various pieces of equipment and processes that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility.
Work will involve pneumatics, steam, water, electricity and mechanics in general as well as some welding. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. Work also requires other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- 6 Months of mechanical, electrical, welding, plumbing, refrigeration boiler, or HVAC work experience or any maintenance work experience or maintenance education experience.
- Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime.
- Must be able to communicate effectively to all employees and management to resolve mechanical failures as well as be able to read manuals in order to repair equipment safely.
- Must be able to write legibly and transfer various meter numbers correctly. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
- A successful candidate will have completed their 90 day probationary period
- Have 6 or less attendance points and no disciplines resulting in suspension in the last 12 months.

Pay Range/Rate: $32.75
