What

You’ll Do

As the Telecommunications Construction Foreperson, you'll serve as the field leader responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, leading experienced crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll work closely with project managers, municipalities, utilities, contractors, and leadership while serving as the technical expert for aerial fiber construction throughout the Columbia Basin.

Leadership & Project Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop telecommunications construction crews.
  • Direct daily work assignments while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), tailboard meetings, and safety briefings.
  • Partner with municipalities, utilities, contractors, inspectors, and project managers.
  • Monitor project schedules, production metrics, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Perform field quality inspections and ensure all work complies with customer specifications.
  • Coach and develop technicians while building future field leaders.
Fiber Construction Responsibilities
  • Pole framing and transfers
  • Strand placement, lashing, and over-lashing

  • Make-ready construction

Maintenance & Emergency Response

You’ll help ensure the long-term reliability of the outside plant by:

  • Troubleshooting damaged aerial fiber infrastructure
  • Coordinating emergency restoration efforts

    Participating in an on-call rotation for service outages
  • Managing fleet, tool, and material inventory
  • Preparing crews for emerge
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7+ years of telecommunications construction experience
  • 3+ years leading aerial fiber construction crews as a Foreperson, Lead Lineman, Crew Leader, or Superintendent
  • Extensive experience constructing and maintaining aerial fiber optic infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) construction practices
  • Experience leading projects from planning through completion
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and NEC standards

    Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • CDL or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
