Industrial Services Foreman

Job Summary

Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), a division of Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC, is seeking an Industrial Services Foreman to lead industrial cleaning and environmental service projects in the field. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can organize crews, work alongside the team, coordinate equipment and customer needs, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC includes five divisions:
Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and Waste Xpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we provide construction, electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous‑waste services from offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii and on projects across the United States.

CCS provides industrial cleaning, environmental services, and spill response for pulp and paper, oil, manufacturing, and other industrial clients. We are known for completing complex work safely, on schedule, and within budget under demanding industrial health and safety programs.

The Industrial Services Foreman works with the Department or Operations Manager to plan and execute field projects, assign and coach crews, communicate with customers, complete project documentation, and track labor, equipment, rentals, schedule, production, and job value. The foreman also identifies additional work and recognizes when work must pause for an approved change order.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in industrial cleaning, environmental services, spill response, hazardous or non‑hazardous waste operations, plant maintenance, or comparable heavy‑industrial field work, including at least one‑year leading field crews.
• General supervisory experience outside these industries does not substitute for the required hands‑on field experience.
• Valid driver's license required. This position regularly operates company vehicles.
• Must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), also called an Abstract of Driving Record (ADR), and remain eligible to drive under company policy. Reviews are required before employment and annually thereafter.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required.
• Experience with hazardous‑waste handling, bulk disposal, confined‑space entry, and confined‑space rescue is strongly preferred. Candidates may be considered without it if they have relevant field leadership and can complete required company training.
• HAZWOPER, confined‑space entry or rescue, First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10 or 30, forklift, and relevant equipment certifications are strongly preferred but may be obtained through company‑approved training when applicable.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees, customers, and management and to complete accurate field documentation.

The Industrial Services Foreman performs the following duties and responsibilities:

• Line out daily work according to project scope, priorities, schedule, and site conditions.
• Serve as a working foreman by leading in the field, working alongside the crew, and operating vehicles or equipment when trained and authorized.
• Assign daily responsibilities, communicate expectations, monitor attendance and performance, and coach employees throughout the work.
• Assist the Department or Operations Manager with scheduling employees, equipment, and resources for assigned projects.
• Lead pre‑job planning, job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and site‑specific safety communication; verify PPE and controls are in place.
• Safely operate and help maintain company vehicles and equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and company policy.
• Track labor, manpower, equipment, rentals, days on the job, production, schedule, additional work, and related project costs.
• Monitor run rate against total project value, scope, schedule, and budget; promptly elevate risks or unfavorable trends.
