As a Retail Skills Trainer, you will play a vital role in guiding participants through hands‑on training in a supportive retail environment. Join a team that values community, professional growth, and the positive impact of meaningful employment. This position will support our Distribution Center, Tuesday through Saturday 9 am to 4 pm.
- Provide individualized, hands‑on job coaching and instruction to adults with disabilities, supporting their vocational goals in a retail setting.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and customer‑friendly thrift store environment.
- Collaborate with the Supported Employment Supervisor and fellow Job Coaches to coordinate support and share participant progress.
- Accurately complete required documentation, including attendance records, job coach notes, objective sheets, and incident/accident reports.
- Monitor contract requirements to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Promote an inclusive, encouraging, and supportive atmosphere for both participants and customers.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid California Driver’s License for at least 2 years
- Reliable transportation; driving is required
- Basic computer and technology skills
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to model positive workplace behavior
$23 per hour
