Para educator III at Lewis Flamson Junior High School 6.5 hours daily Benefits Available PCN #230111 Under the direction of the Special Education Director and site administrator, the Para educator II works to support instructional activities of special needs students. A majority of the assignment will be spent working directly with students in a capacity that meets learning and physical needs of students as determined by their respective Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).

Provide interventions and respond to inappropriate behaviors: assess crisis situations, intervenes and defuses as appropriate.

High School Diploma or equivalent (required) 48 (or more) college semester units OR certification of passing the District Para educator Exam OR possesses a Certificate of Proficiency examination in compliance with Education Code and No Child Left Behind Act. (required) Experience working with children with Special Education needs (preferred)

The District offers this exam EVERY Thursday at 1 at the PRJUSD District Office; 800 Niblick Rd, Paso Robles.
