EHS Coordinator
Reporting to the Global EHS Manager, the EHS Coordinator will build cross‑functional relationships among Trojan, Veralto and external agencies for facilities in London, Ontario. The role focuses on developing, implementing and maintaining Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs and policies that ensure compliance with federal, provincial and local regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Begin each day with Daily Management, partnering closely with Operations leaders to review site performance, identify risks, and assess impacts to operational objectives.
- Participate in daily EHS team meetings to review priorities, align on planned activities, and elevate items from Operations Daily Management as required.
- Execute daily EHS standard work, including identifying unsafe acts or conditions, supporting leaders with investigations and problem‑solving efforts, completing compliance and audit actions, and providing consistent day‑to‑day EHS guidance and support.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with associates and managers, proactively addressing EHS issues and driving timely, effective solutions.
- Develop, plan, and implement innovative EHS programs that meet regulatory, corporate, and site‑specific requirements.
- Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with corporate expectations.
- Drive assigned project action plans and track progress through successful completion.
- Provide responsive, ad‑hoc EHS support to leaders and teams as operational needs arise.
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience leading EHS, preferably in an industrial establishment.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
- Experience with manufacturing operations, laboratories and/or environmental sustainability best practices is an asset.
- Actively working toward CRST/CRSP certification is preferred.
- ISO
14001/ISO
45001 experience is preferred. - Experience with Cority or other EHS data management systems is preferred.
- Some travel required for benchmarking and Kaizen activities at other Trojan or Veralto facilities.
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, training, analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a variety of people at various technical and managerial levels.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Salaries: $58,000 to $70,000 per year, plus eligible 5% bonus.
