Role DescriptionThis full-time, on-site Guest Service Representative role is based at the Oxford Suites location in Paso Robles, CA. The Guest Service Representative is responsible for greeting and checking in guests, processing reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-out experience. Day-to-day tasks include answering phones and guest inquiries, handling payments, assisting with special requests, and providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
The role also involves coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to address room or facility issues, resolving guest concerns in a professional manner, and maintaining accurate records in the property management system. Team members are expected to follow company policies, uphold safety and security standards, and deliver consistent, courteous service at all times.
- Customer service and hospitality skills, including the ability to handle guest inquiries, resolve concerns, and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor.
- Communication skills, with clear spoken and written English, active listening, and the ability to convey information accurately to guests and colleagues.
- Basic computer and administrative skills, such as using reservation or property management systems, processing payments, and keeping organized records.
- Time management and multitasking abilities, including prioritizing tasks in a busy environment and staying detail-oriented under pressure.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to support coworkers, coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance, and adapt to changing guest needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior hotel front desk or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work on-site in Paso Robles, CA, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment for guests and team members.
