Front End Checkout associates run our registers, greet and thank customers, ring up items, process payments, and maintain a positive attitude. This role requires the ability to stand for long periods and to help customers quickly and accurately.

You play a major role in how customers feel when they leave the store. You may be the first, last, and sometimes only associate a customer encounters. At Walmart, you are an ambassador who smiles, greets, and thanks every customer.

During busy periods – evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons – you will scan items, explain prices, bag items, count cash back, and keep your area clean while juggling several tasks simultaneously.

You should possess a positive attitude, be able to multi‑task, and have a passion for customer service and helping others.

Cashier

• Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude
• Stand for long periods while checking out customers quickly and accurately
• Keep your area clean and presentable
• Answer customer questions and help them with their needs
• Be available to assist associates across the store as needed

Cart and Janitorial

• Ensure customers have a great first and last impression
• Gather carts from the parking lot
• Operate equipment to move carts from the parking lot to inside the store
• Clean restrooms, sales floor, and parking lot as needed
• Maintain a positive attitude in all weather conditions
