Deli Attendant & Cashier

Gourmet Deli Staff, Sextant Edna Valley Tasting Room The Craig Stoller Collection is comprised of three unique wine brands, Sextant Wines, Paris Valley Road Estate Winery, and Windemere Wines, primarily estate grown and carefully sourced from some of the Central Coast’s best vineyards. Together, The Craig Stoller Collection represents the terroir and breathtaking beauty of the Central Coast.

Position Summary Under the leadership of the Tasting Room Manager, our Gourmet Deli in the Edna Valley of San Luis Obispo is currently seeking an attentive, reliable, and customer service-oriented individual to fill a part-time position, other opportunities are available for the right candidate. Duties & Responsibilities
• Learn history of family, our brands, and be able to communicate consistently and clearly with heart.
• Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and wraps.
• Serve customers with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Operate deli equipment efficiently and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area.
• Clean and stock deli foods and merchandise as needed, assist with taking inventory when needed.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe the department dress code.
• Responsible for washing of dishes and glassware for the deli.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately when needed.

Professional Qualifications
• Experience in the food industry or related field is preferred.
• Motivated, self-starter and independent work ethic.
• Sales experience and wine knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines.
• Familiarity with Wine Direct POS system is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be flexible in working evenings, weekends, and special events.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in a team environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products.
