Automotive Apprenticeship Instructor- PT

Passaic County Community College is seeking an Automotive Apprenticeship Instructor to teach at our Passaic campus.

This is a part-time, hourly, position.

Essential Functions of the Job:

* Lead and promote the IAM CREST program in collaboration with the Union

* Coordinate with PCCC-PAC staff for the delivery of automotive classes

* Plan and develop curriculum for the delivery of the automotive career certificate

* Work with the Automotive Academic Specialist to synchronize programmatic elements

* Instruct students in the Automotive Apprenticeship program (theory and lab)

* Maintain college equipment intended for the Automotive Apprenticeship program

* Maintain positive relationships with partnering high schools

Qualifications:

* A minimum of an associate degree in a technical area.

* ASE Certifications (To be reviewed)

* A minimum of six years of automotive repair experience with a dealership, or an owner-operated repair facility

* Experience with more than one automotive employer

* At least 6 years of teaching experience.

* Candidates should have expertise with multiple automobile brands/makes

* Strong familiarity with the automobile diagnostics of modern car designs.

* Strength and experience in teaching automobile electronics and diagnostics

The completion of background check will be required for the selected candidate.

Compensation:
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay for this position is $40.
