Reporter and Communication Lead

SAPA Communication Department is the voice channel of SAPA headquarters and all chapters, and is an indispensable core function for the operation of SAPA organization. The Communication Department is responsible for the promotion, reporting, interviews and news releases of all activities. We own multiple media platforms such as WeChat official account, website, Email, Linked In, Newsletter etc. It is committed to producing the highest quality content, providing the most timely SAPA and industry updates, so as to enhance SAPA’s influence and business value, and serve SAPA’s mission:
To enhance the science, education, collaboration and career advancement in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. The SAPA Communication Department is recruiting talents with passion to join the group as a Reporter and Communication Lead.

Responsibilities
  • Write Chinese and English promotion, interviews, event summaries
  • Take part in the cross‑functional collaboration to support the entire workflow of the event promotion
  • Lead a reporter team and represent the team in event committee meetings
  • Interview key speakers from the industry/academia as needed and draft news articles
Requirements
  • Eligible candidate must be an active SAPA member or willing to become an active SAPA member upon joining
  • Excellent Chinese and English writing skills
  • Independence and leadership skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility, responsive to complete assignment timely and reliably
  • Able to attend online meetings outside of working hours (9am‑5pm)
  • Strong teamwork spirit
Preferred
  • Experience working in a cross‑functional matrix team
  • Able to attend in‑person events in NJ, USA
  • Prior experience of event promotion, news report and interviewing
  • Meticulous and patient in work
  • Willing to keep learning and improving skills
Time Commitments
  • Pre‑event and Post‑event: 3‑5 hours per week for a period of 1‑2 month for the event project assigned – the work can be divided among multiple volunteers
  • During event: the work can be divided among multiple volunteers
