Job Overview

The School of Art at the University of Cincinnati, housed within the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, offers undergraduate and graduate programs that emphasize interdisciplinary study and professional practice. An adjunct instructor will teach courses in Art Education, Art History, or Fine Arts based on experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars on a part‑time basis.
  • Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in ancillary activities that support academic missions.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all university‑related communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s degree in the field to be taught from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
