Assistant Principal
The Assistant Principal supports the efforts of the Principal in the administration of the educational program, the supervision and student liaison with the staff, and the physical responsibility for staff, students, building, equipment and grounds.
Qualifications:
- At least five years of successful teaching experience on the level of the position.
- Master's Degree
- Teacher Certification by Department of Education, State of New Jersey
- Principal's and Supervisor certificate
Duties:
- Assist the Principal in the overall administration of the school
- Assist the Principal in determining and updating curriculum, including:
Participation in the Title 1 process Requisition ing of supplies, materials and textbooks Distribution of building supplies and textbooks to appropriate staff members - Supervise conduct within the school, oversee all disciplinary and attendance matters
- Provide orientation to new teachers
- Advise substitute teachers of building procedures and programs
- Attend school functions, PTA Programs, parent-teacher, student-teacher and student-teacher-parent conferences, when assigned
- Coordinate all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
- Serve in a liaison capacity to the RITE program
- Assist with Magnet, Federal and State Programs where appropriate
- Serve in a liaison capacity to Special Services
- Assist the Principal in orientation programs and in-service training workshops
- Supervise such school operations as fire drills and assembly programs
- Assist the Principal in pupil and teacher scheduling
- Serve as Acting Principal in the absence of the Principal (elementary schools only)
- Any other duty assigned to them
Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Principal is directly responsible to the building Principal.

Salary:
As per collective bargaining agreement (Pending Availability of Funds) (Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply)
