Job Title
Pay Rate: $28.35/hour - once a month by stipend

10-20 hours per week as needed/assigned per school Location(s):
District- schools assigned as needed Certification(s) and/or Special Requirements:
Preferred fluent in English and Spanish, particularly in the areas of speaking, reading and writing The majority of work will be during the school day Applicants must be able to work during the school day most weeks Must have flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed during parent and/or community events Experience and comfort level in the use of technology or willingness to learn new technology Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with other parents and district personnel Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Contact parents and families through phone calls, meetings at school or district sites in order to encourage participation in school and or district activities and events.
- Provide information to parents concerning district policy and procedures such as registration, PTA/PTN, curriculum, food services, assessment and discipline.
- Contact outside community agencies for the purpose of seeking resources and activities that will increase the participation of families in school and parent training opportunities.
- Support district parent training programs such as Parent University, Family Literacy Night and Family Math Night.
- Provide interpreting services in English and Spanish for parents, teachers, and administrators as related to Title I & III events, such as school and/or district meetings, parent workshops and evening events at schools.
- Translation of school documents designed to inform parents about Title III Family Events; such as letters, bulletins, announcements, articles, flyers, newsletters, food services communication, special education, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities.
This position is in accordance with the JEA contract Budget:
Title I and III pending DOE approval of the ESEA grant application
