Qualifications:
A valid New Jersey teaching certification or a valid New Jersey substitute credential. If you want to apply for a NJ substitute credential, additional paperwork is required. Must have received a New Jersey criminal history approval letter (fingerprint process). The criminal history background check instructions (fingerprinting) can be found >

Criminal History Background Check. If you have never been fingerprinted, follow "new" instructions. If you have been fingerprinted before, follow the "archive" instructions. If you are currently a substitute teacher in another district, then follow the "transfer instructions". TB/Mantoux test reflecting negative results, obtained within the past 6 months. Substitute teacher rate - $140.00 per day.
