We are seeking a Solar Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain solar energy systems, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. The role involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, performing necessary repairs or replacements, assisting with installations, and providing technical support to clients. The technician will collaborate with solar engineers, project managers, and team members to maintain efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and maintain solar PV systems, diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems.
- Carry out repairs, replacements, or adjustments to solar components as needed.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and parts used.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers for proper equipment setup and integration.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns related to system performance, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting over the phone, email, or site visits.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide education on system operation and maintenance.
- Operate a company‑issued vehicle with respect and integrity.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Proven experience in solar maintenance or a related field.
- Solid understanding of solar PV systems, components, and associated electrical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing solar systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and handle tools and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel to different worksites.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional technical certifications or vocational training in solar energy systems or electrical engineering is preferred.
