Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for an Concrete Lab Technician - Geotechnical to work in our Concrete Laboratory at our Mays Landing office. In this hands‑on role, you will perform testing on concrete, grout, and other construction materials in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards, helping ensure quality, safety, and compliance on a wide range of impactful projects.
Responsibilities- Perform testing procedures in the laboratory accurately and in accordance with standards and specifications.
- Work Environment will require regular exposure to bending, twisting, moderate to loud noise conditions and lifting weights of up to 75 lbs.
- Working in the field doing concrete coring and other concrete field testing will be required.
- Driving heavy duty trucks will be required.
- Some weekend and overtime work may be required.
- Training and certification will be provided.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients both verbally and in writing.
- Work independently with supervision.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, or Earth/Environmental Sciences is preferred.
- ACI, NJSAT and NICET certifications are preferred, but not required.
- Work hours will be 16 to 30 hours per week between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM most business days.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
