Plant Controller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a private equity–backed organization seeking an experienced Plant Controller to serve as the senior on-site finance leader for an operating facility. This role functions as a “mini CFO” for the location, owning all plant-level accounting and financial operations while partnering closely with operations and senior leadership. This is a hands-on, highly visible role requiring strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and comfort working in an onsite, operational environment.

• Serve as the senior finance and accounting leader for the plant, acting as the primary financial business partner to operations and leadership
• Own all plant-level accounting activities including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational financial reporting for the facility
• Oversee inventory accounting, including physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and valuation
• Ensure accurate cost tracking and financial insight
• Supervise and develop a small accounting team
• Maintain and optimize use of the ERP system
• Support private equity reporting requirements and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, controls, and financial visibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Prior experience in plant, construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments strongly preferred
• Proven experience as a Plant Controller, Senior Controller, or similar “mini CFO” role
• Strong inventory and cost accounting background, including physical inventory oversight
• Experience supervising accounting staff
• Hands-on ERP experience;
  Sage Intacct highly preferred
• Comfortable working fully onsite in a fast-paced, operational setting
• Experience working in a private equity–backed environment is a plus

$140,000-$150,000
