  • Location: Onsite – Bergen County, NJ 5 days a week
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (ET)
  • Compensation: $70,000–$75,000, based on experience

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of all payroll functions. This role works closely with Finance and Human Resources and ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including filings with applicable tax agencies
  • Perform complex bonus calculations, including sales incentive payouts
  • Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries
  • Calculate and process final paychecks in compliance with state-mandated timelines
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and multi-state payroll regulations
  • Support and participate in audits and special projects as assigned
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • File and maintain payroll and personnel documentation
  • Complete year-end payroll adjustments, including W-2 processing and filings
  • Maintain employee data accuracy within the expense management system (new hires, terminations, changes)
  • Process internal and sales expense reimbursements in a timely manner
  • Provide support to employees regarding travel and expense system inquiries
  • Partner with HR to track employee time-off balances and usage
  • Provide ongoing support to Finance and HR with operational needs
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Finance or Accounting (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Hands‑on experience with multi‑state payroll processing
  • Experience using multiple payroll and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, UKG, ADP)
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to manage high‑volume workloads and competing deadlines
  • High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information
  • Knowledge of state termination and final pay regulations
  • Experience with payroll procedures involving multi‑state and government requirements
  • Strong analytical, accounting, and mathematical skills
