We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Manager to join the team in our Parsippany office.

Cohn Reznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in‑person collaboration. While the cadence of in‑office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

The CHAMP Industry Group focuses on serving clients in the Consumer, Hospitality, and Manufacturing & Distribution sectors. The group works with middle‑market and growth‑oriented companies, providing integrated advisory, assurance, and tax services tailored to the operational, financial, and regulatory challenges these industries face.

• Manage tax compliance and tax advisory engagements in the Commercial Services Industry group.
• Determine resource requirements and work with a team to ensure exceptional client service.
• Manage expectations with team members and monitor engagement progress.
• Review partnership and corporate tax returns and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Research tax issues and filing requirements that affect tax compliance.
• Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations and other relevant authorities/guidance.
• Draft tax technical memorandums and share knowledge to develop team members.
• Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements through identification of current client needs and target client requirements.
• Actively participate in proposal development, at the direction of management, and take a lead role responding to requests for proposal.
• Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity and independent thinking. Lead by example.

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
  Master’s in Accounting/Taxation preferred.
• CPA, JD, or EA required.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant tax experience.
• 2+ years of managerial experience.
• Current experience with commercial services clients.
• Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, as well as exceptional client service skills.
• Proven competence with MS Office and tax compliance and research software, including Pro System, CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement.
• Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi‑task.
