Senior Finance Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations - Somerset, NJ
We are seeking a financial partner for a Perfumery manufacturing site. The candidate will work on a daily basis as a partner of the plant manager and the local management team and will provide advice and direction on all financial aspects that have impacts on the plant performance.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as “single point of contact” for the Plant management team in providing the necessary business support required in all aspects of supply chain related activities such as management of expenses, investments/divestments (CAPEX), working capital optimization, cost savings and productivity improvements and other local initiatives and strategies.
- Play a critical role in challenging local Plant management team or provide appropriate recommendations.
- Actively participate on continuous improvement process, drive the Budget and Forecast processes, and collaborate with other cross-divisional controllers (Logistics, Purchasing, R&D and Support Functions) to analyze performance and review costs.
- Ensure the reliability and pertinence of product costing, provide the detailed monthly variance analysis of Cost of Goods Manufactured and Sold, and provide cost/kg analysis on a regular basis and leverage benchmarking within the group to optimize productivity.
- Monitor inventories, its trend evolution, and support the local Plant management team in optimizing or reducing the plant inventories and month on hand, perform the scorecards analysis review with other supply chain controller(s), and ensure compliance with the standard corporate policies and financial controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.
- 5 years or more of work experience in manufacturing cost accounting / controlling with relevant experience in product cost accounting.
- Experience in SAP preferred, advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience partnering closely with plant leadership to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
- Proven track record of influencing cross‑functional leaders (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering) to drive financial discipline and operational improvement.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate complex financial insights to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
Salary $132,00-$165,000. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job‑related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.
