Project Leader - QA

Principal Purpose of Position

Coordinate testing for software releases. Ensure planned items can be tested within the allotted timeframe. Coordinate with development for schedule or task list adjustments, create test cases, assign tests, and identify regression. Manage team capacity. Communicate and recommend solutions to roadblocks. Perform manual and regression testing as needed to complete the testing cycle (approximately 50% of the project leader’s time). Resolve issues as they arise.

Work with leaders on defect handling (leave, fix, hold back). Foster candid communication among analysts and product/project team members.

• Supervise and develop QA team: conduct regular 1:1 meetings, review IDPs, and help team members achieve their goals.
• Perform performance reviews and solicit feedback on strengths and areas for development.
• Create and maintain meaningful quality metrics for each product or project.
• Recommend process changes to improve quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Evaluate resource use to promote productivity in product changes.

• BS/BA degree in any discipline with 4 years of IT experience or post‑high‑school education with 4 years of IT QA experience.
• Relevant QA certification aligned with the project or product SDLC.
• 4 years in an IT development/QA environment; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of supported products – level 4 Oracle P/L.
• SQL software experience – level 2.
