About the RoleWe are seeking a commercially minded Pharma and Life Sciences Customer Success Consultant to drive growth, account expansion, and strategic partnership development across key pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping identify new opportunities, expand existing engagements, and connect client business needs with Math Co’s analytics, AI, GenAI, and data-driven solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine deep pharma domain expertise with strong consulting, relationship management, and business development capabilities. This role requires the ability to understand a client’s business priorities, translate those priorities into actionable analytics opportunities, and partner with internal teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
The role will be primarily focused on revenue growth and account expansion, with secondary responsibility for delivery oversight and client success. Level will be determined based on experience and may be hired at the Associate Principal or Principal level.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth & Account Expansion — 50%
- Build, strengthen, and mature executive-level client relationships across Pharma and Life Sciences accounts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by developing a deep understanding of client priorities, organizational structure, business challenges, and strategic direction.
- Identify whitespace opportunities within existing accounts and support account expansion initiatives.
- Drive growth strategy for assigned accounts, including opportunity identification, account planning, and long-term partnership development.
- Partner with internal sales, consulting, analytics, data science, engineering, and delivery teams to position Math Co’s analytics, AI, GenAI, and data solutions.
- Translate client business needs into actionable analytics opportunities, solution concepts, and engagement plans.
- Support opportunity shaping, proposal development, solution positioning, business case creation, and future engagement planning.
- Leverage expertise in pharma, commercial analytics, marketing analytics, patient analytics, and therapeutic areas to identify relevant growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships across client functions, including Commercial, Brand Analytics, Data Science, Market Research, Market Access, Medical, and Enterprise Analytics teams.
- Manage account health, growth pipeline, stakeholder engagement, and escalation paths in partnership with internal leadership.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements.
- Define project scope, success metrics, business outcomes, and stakeholder expectations.
- Serve as a bridge between client stakeholders and internal delivery organizations.
- Ensure alignment between client goals and internal delivery plans by clearly communicating strategy, priorities, and risks.
- Guide teams of managers, consultants, data scientists, and analysts in executing high-impact analytics solutions.
- Translate business needs into insights, recommendations, and clear “so what” / “now what” narratives for senior leadership.
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively identify opportunities to improve engagement health.
