What You’ll Own- Lead criminal defense cases from strategy to verdict
, fiercely protecting client rights and driving strong outcomes. - Develop sophisticated, evidence-based defense strategies grounded in deep legal research, case analysis, and proactive investigation.
- Command client relationships
, delivering clear, strategic counsel while managing expectations and building trust. - Draft and file persuasive motions, briefs, and pleadings that move cases forward and create leverage.
- Negotiate strategically with prosecutors
, leveraging preparation and positioning to secure dismissals, reductions, or favorable resolutions. - Dominate in the courtroom
, presenting compelling arguments, cross-examining witnesses with precision, and thinking quickly under pressure. - Continuously sharpen your edge
, staying ahead of legal trends, statutory updates, and evolving case law to outmaneuver opposing counsel.
- JD and an active New Jersey law license in good standing.
- 1–3+ years of criminal defense or litigation experience with real courtroom exposure and independent case responsibility.
- You’ve worked as a PD/DA, in a traditional firm, or run your own practice — and you’re ready to focus on practicing law, not chasing overhead, billing drama, or administrative chaos.
- Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills — you know how to build a case, create leverage, and close strategically.
- Comfortable taking ownership of your caseload while collaborating within a high-accountability, performance-driven team.
- A client-first professional with high emotional intelligence and strong communication instincts.
- Tech-forward and comfortable in a fully remote environment (Clio, , Microsoft 365, Zoom, Loom, Otter AI).
