Americas Deliver Planning Lead

The Americas Deliver Planning Lead is accountable for driving end-to-end flow optimization and lane-level planning execution across the Americas distribution and transportation network primarily focused on the LATAM market. This role ensures optimal freight flow design, distribution capacity alignment, and cost-to-serve performance through advanced analytics, scenario modeling, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Lead enables enterprise decision-making by translating demand and supply signals into distribution and lane-level plans (0–24 months), optimizing mode mix, and proactively identifying risks and opportunities across inbound and outbound flows.

This role can be located at a Johnson & Johnson site within the United States (NJ, PA, CA, FL, TX, or Guaynabo, Puerto Rico), or internationally in Markham Canada, or São Paulo, Brazil.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Deliver supply and capacity planning across owned and 3PL distribution centers and transportation partners primarily focused on the LATAM region
  • Ensure accurate and timely visibility of capacity constraints, risks, and trade-offs across the Deliver network.
  • Support regional Deliver teams in executing capacity and labor plans aligned to business priorities.
  • Execute Deliver planning scenarios and trade-off analyses to support enterprise decision-making.
  • Represent Deliver planning outcomes in monthly operation forums and leadership discussions.
  • Lead lane-level planning across inbound and outbound flows, ensuring alignment between forecast, capacity, and execution.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate lane bottlenecks and capacity constraints ahead of demand peaks.
  • Coordinate with carriers and 3PL partners to align capacity with forecasted volumes.
  • Establish and lead a structured, recurring process to define and manage how products flow through the existing distribution network (manufacturing → hubs → local DCs).
  • Translate global network design into scalable, executable flow rules across Surgery and EP/NV portfolios.
  • Define and govern product flow segmentation strategies, including differentiation for fast vs. slow movers to optimize service, cost, and inventory positioning.
  • Define and standardize the role of primary hubs, secondary hubs, and local DCs (large vs. small) within the network.
  • Implement a recurring governance cadence to review and update product flows (e.g., new products, node additions, demand shifts).
  • Develop scenario-based lane and contingency plans for disruptions (e.g., node outages, volume variability).
  • Provide clear insights on cost, service, and capacity tradeoffs across distribution capacity flow decisions.
  • Translate analytics into actionable recommendations for leadership forums and planning cycles.
  • Monitor and manage lane capacity utilization and DC storage utilization vs. plan and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Track and optimize SG&A warehousing and COGS freight spend, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
  • Identify and quantify flow optimization opportunities across the network.
  • Partner with Regional Deliver, Transportation (D&T), GTTO, Business Unit Supply Chain Planning, carriers, and 3PLs.
  • Influence stakeholders through data-driven insights on flow performance, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Support alignment between network strategy, IBP, and operational execution
