Design Lead - Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Mgmt

The Design Lead will be responsible for overseeing Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Collaboration and Negotiation, and Supplier Development & Management with a focus on achieving cost-effective solutions and optimizing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead component cost estimation activities to ensure accurate project budgeting and cost control
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and enhance supplier relationships
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide guidance and support to cross functional teams on supplier related matters

Skill Requirements:

• Proficient in component cost estimation techniques and tools
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers
• Experience in supplier development & management practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for building and maintaining supplier relationships
• Analytical mindset with the capability to assess cost data and make informed decisions

Other Requirements:

• Certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement is a plus
