Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The Vice President – General Counsel serves as the chief legal officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company and a strategic business partner to executive leadership. The VP oversees all legal matters including contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, insurance programs, and labor and employment law compliance. The position also provides executive oversight of Human Resources strategy and operations to ensure compliance, workforce alignment, and organizational effectiveness across multi-site manufacturing and global operations.
Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors.
- Serve as Corporate Secretary and oversee corporate governance and Board-related legal matters.
- Oversee all legal matters including contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.
- Lead enterprise risk management initiatives and align insurance programs with operational risk exposure.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, supplier, customer, and employment-related agreements.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and international regulatory requirements.
- Direct and oversee HR strategy and operations including employee relations, talent management, benefits, compensation governance, and organizational development.
- Drive leadership development and workforce planning initiatives.
- Lead crisis management related to legal, employee, regulatory, or operational matters.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and global growth activities.
- Oversee outside counsel and manage legal and insurance expenditures.
- Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
- 10+ yrs. experience advising executive leadership teams.
- 10+ yrs. experience negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- 7+ yrs. experience managing state and federal regulatory compliance reporting.
- 7+ yrs. experience providing strategic advisement in labor and employment matters.
- 7+ yrs. experience in a manufacturing environment with multi-site and global operations.
- 5+ yrs. experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration.
- 5+ yrs. experience overseeing enterprise risk management and insurance programs.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move within office and manufacturing environments.
- Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
