Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Performs functions associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within the drug product manufacturing and packaging facility, including performing visual inspection of finished and in-process materials, verifying manufacturing data in the batch record system, and conducting testing on in-process materials. Uses programs such as POMS and SAP to evaluate operating data for acceptable quality limits and product release requirements.

• Enter test results in manufacturing systems (SAP, POMS, LIMS) and interpret data for conformance with product and material specifications.
• Perform in-process laboratory tests (e.g., Karl Fischer and torque removal testing) per procedure.
• Ensure correct documentation and compliance with GDP requirements.
• Perform visual inspection of finished and in-process materials, classify defects, and determine test disposition.
• Perform test methods to support product/material release and review/verify manufacturing operating settings.
• Suggest improvements based on scientific and good manufacturing practices.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and others.

• Collaborate with others to meet business objectives and foster positive relationships.

• High School Diploma required.
• Technical Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience conducting quality inspections in a pharmaceutical setting required.
• 1–2 years’ laboratory setting experience preferred.
