The Sanitation Lead will define, lead, and improve sanitation programs across the Mondelēz Manufacturing network.
They will act as liaison between plants and corporate technical teams to provide training on sanitation support, address specific sanitation and equipment hygiene design challenges, and conduct periodic audits.
How You Will Contribute- Develop and implement a strategic sanitation program, policies, plans and processes to ensure sanitary performance meets Mondelez standards.
- Support manufacturing facilities, process engineering, environmental and maintenance personnel in addressing sanitary design issues through a risk‑based prioritization of capital projects related to sanitation and food safety addressing the main risks incl allergens, microbiology and chemicals.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to operations quality and manufacturing facilities in areas of sanitation.
- Provide support to R+I and quality in the innovation / renovation process by defining the correct validation and sanitation protocols.
- Conduct periodic sanitation audits against the consistent application and execution of procedures and related sanitation practices.
- Implement Mondelez corporate standards & specifications for sanitation and cleaning.
- Develop and support plant sanitation operating procedures.
- Interface with learning and development and plants to deliver sanitation program training for example Neptune, creating resource materials and SSOP’s.
- Propose and implement improvements to increase the effectiveness of equipment and reduce quality and food safety risks.
- Participate in focus improvement teams for finished goods losses reduction and improving equipment and sanitation effectiveness.
- Leverage chemical vendors and other internal/external expertise to implement effective sanitation programs, including but not limited to, design and testing of new improved sanitation methods, best practice sharing between plants, sanitation compliance/practices and identification of operational improvement opportunities.
- Participate in quality / food safety incident investigations and foster a continuous improvement culture as it pertains to effective sanitary systems in all facilities.
- Act as an expert in cleaning parameters and related quality & food safety risks for manufacturing HACCP teams.
Experience and knowledge in dairy and plant‑based technology, manufacturing equipment, legislation FSMA, quality assurance, food safety, leadership, team management, project management, sanitation methodologies, risk analysis and technical project management.

- Minimum of 5 years of food plant operational experience.
- Quality tools including RCA/CAPA and continuous improvement.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with diverse sanitizing applications.
40 to 60% travel to plant locations.
Salary and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is $142,700 to $235,455. In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for over achievement based on performance and company results, and participation in a long‑term incentive program. Benefits include health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education‑related programs, paid holidays and vacation time.
Within‑country relocation support available. For candidates voluntarily moving internationally, minimal support is offered through the Volunteer International Transfer Policy.
