Hospital Lab Supervisor – Neptune, NJ
Hospital‑based position at a Jersey Shore facility. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends.
Pay range: $84,040 – $151,360 per year. Salary is based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. An annual performance bonus may also be available.

- Oversee staff and activities of the department.
- Distribute/assign work and determine priorities.
- Schedule non‑routine procedures.
- Perform personnel‑related functions: hiring, terminations, discipline, training.
- Perform advanced/specialized tests and other laboratory techniques.
- Duplicate work of others to confirm test results.
- Re‑evaluate methodology, recommend changes, and assist in test interpretation.
- Determine whether further testing should be performed or the test should be repeated.
- Check/approve all specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
- Initiate quality‑control measures and monitor work for adherence to laboratory standards.
- Perform technologist duties as needed during absences or peak workload.
- Complete special projects such as surveys, statistical reports, studies, or research.
Required
Work Experience:
5+ years in a laboratory environment.
Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
Knowledge: General laboratory services and testing requirements.
Skills- Work with hospital and laboratory personnel to meet clinical testing standards.
- Lead subordinate staff in performing their duties.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, hospital and company leadership, staff, and customers.
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Work in a dynamic team environment.
- Client interaction skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree MT (preferred).
