Overview
At Merit Medical we create innovative medical devices that improve lives. This Inside Sales Representative role presents and sells specific Merit product groups to new and existing accounts, ensuring timely delivery and building strong client relationships.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Call and visit clients to present and demonstrate products, explain benefits, and identify unmet needs.
- Identify potential customers and introduce them to Merit product offerings.
- Maintain regular contact to monitor product satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with Customer Service for new account set‑ups and order processing.
- Create and manage mail, e‑mail, and sampling campaigns.
- Prepare and submit pricing contracts.
- Follow up to identify opportunities to increase sales volume and profitability.
- Resolve manufacturing or delivery issues with clients.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales staff to ensure correct product shipment and provide customer feedback.
- Make pricing decisions within authorized limits to optimize sales volume and profitability.
- Provide market intelligence and assist with sales strategy implementation.
- Prepare reports summarizing sales results, contacts made, and product improvement suggestions.
- Participate in sales training, planning meetings, and onboarding of new team members.
- Maintain high knowledge of Merit and competitor products.
- Set and achieve personal performance goals for sales volume, new contacts, and new client sales.
- Support the sales team to achieve goals and targets.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of direct sales or outbound sales experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand client needs.
- High personal motivation and drive to achieve goals.
- Excellent oral presentation and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to learn and explain medical equipment usage.
- Team player with strong organization and independent work skills.
- Proficient with business mathematics and computer programs (spreadsheets, word processing, database).
- Local lifting not to exceed 50 lbs.
- Writing, sitting, standing, bending, visual acuity, color perception, depth perception, reading, peripheral vision, fine motor skills.
- Base salary $60,000 plus annual sales bonus and commission opportunities.
- Flexible shifts (Day, Swing, Night).
- Medical, dental and other insurances (eligible after 30 days).
- On‑site medical clinic and cafeteria.
- Three weeks vacation, one week sick time, paid holidays.
- 401(k) with health savings account.
