Maintenance Technician

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. The role is onsite at an office building in Somerset, NJ, USA. Standard hours are 7am‑4pm, Monday‑Friday.

• Undertake routine maintenance and servicing of mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Stock restrooms and perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Manage and communicate with external vendors when needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and execute repairs.
• Support the setup and alteration of building machinery and structures.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to supervise completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Capability to adhere to fundamental work routines and standards in the execution of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Must be able to speak and understand English proficiently.
• Shown understanding of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail, along with a curious mentality.

Equal Pay Disclaimer:
The minimum base salary for the Maintenance Technician is $21.64/hour and the maximum base salary is $24.04/hour. Compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
