The Tailor performs alterations, resizing, and restyling on merchandise sold in Neiman Marcus stores. The role supports fitters by providing professional guidance on garment fit, alterability, and structural quality.
Responsibilities- Alter garments to meet or exceed original construction quality.
- Perform garment adjustments, including altering seams, shoulders, sleeves, coats, linings, and pockets.
- Operate and maintain sewing equipment.
- Inspect completed work and complete assignments from the supervisor or lead.
- Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment is preferred.
- Exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabric types is preferred.
- Ability to read English, understand instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.
