Senior Software Engineer – Sitecore XM Cloud Migration

Our client in Northern NJ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Sitecore XM Cloud Migration consultant. This position is hybrid, onsite 2-3 days a week. Local candidates only/NO RELOCATION.

This role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization (e.g., H-1B, OPT, CPT, etc.) or transfer. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization

Candidate must be our W-2 employee. No third parties please.

You’ll lead a hands-on modernization effort to move a heavily customized on-prem Sitecore XM instance into XM Cloud. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys deep technical discovery, architectural problem solving, and building cloud native CMS solutions from the ground up.

• Reverse engineer legacy XM pipelines, custom controllers, rendering variants, and integration endpoints
• Map legacy features to XM Cloud equivalents (SXA, headless services, Edge, Webhooks, Rendering Host)
• Build a full PoC using Next.js, Type Script, and XM Cloud's headless rendering model
• Stand up cloud hosting (Vercel or Node.js) and validate performance, caching, and deployment workflows
• Produce architecture diagrams, migration wave plans, and operational readiness documentation

• Real-world experience migrating Sitecore XP/XM-XM Cloud
• Strong C#/.NET fundamentals for refactoring legacy logic
• Deep familiarity with headless rendering, JSS, and modern front-end frameworks
• Comfort designing HA architectures and cloud deployment pipelines
