The Seasonal Portables Driver is responsible for servicing assigned route(s) with portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and other equipment within the Pit Stop Division. The driver represents the company in a safe and respectable manner while servicing customer accounts and communicating regularly with dispatchers and supervisors.

Seasonal – The season is April to mid-December. A seasonal driver does not work January through March.

Hours:

April – September, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays;
October – December, Monday–Saturday as needed. Saturdays may fluctuate depending on workload.

Operations Supervisor

• Operate truck safely in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Service portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and other company equipment to meet or exceed company standards.
• Complete assigned routes.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes or issues.
• Maintain and update route sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain and update driver’s log sheets.
• Engage professionally with internal and external customers.
• Keep truck clean and operating properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged physical exertions.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred.
• Waste industry experience preferred.
• Additional skills may be required for specific tasks.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid Class B CDL.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• No DUI’s or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• No license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English well enough to communicate, understand directions, traffic signs, and safety training.

• Regular sitting; hand use; reaching; talking; hearing.
• Occasional standing and walking.
• Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Close, distance, depth vision and focus adjustment required.
