Following the lesson plan left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with the school’s philosophy, goals and objectives

• Meeting and instructing assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
• Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom
• Maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning
• Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities
• Assisting in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with other employees
• Reporting to the principal or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day

• Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the principal
• Abide by policies in the Faculty Handbook and enforce the policies in the Parent/Student Handbook, including LCA dress and hair code
• Assist in supervising lunchroom, hallways, and other general school areas before, after and during school

• Have high patience and compassion for young kids
• Current FBI/BCI background check
• High School Diploma or higher (must be able to provide copy of diploma)
• The ability to obtain State licensure and/or certification, including CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current Medical Statement
• Experience working with young children a plus
