Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities of this role include measuring and recording vital signs, assisting medical staff with patient examinations, maintaining supplies and equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs such as weight, height, and blood pressure.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR, including patient interviews, histories, treatments, and test results.
• Assist medical staff with patient examinations.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and sterilize instruments as necessary.
• Participate in developments and maintain affiliations with medical assistant associations.
• Commit to preventative health care programs and a team-based approach to health care delivery.
• Perform front office duties including reception, patient check-in/check-out, payment collection, and scheduling.
• Perform routine screening tests and draw patient blood samples as directed.
• Prepare and administer injectable medications and immunizations.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and perform first aid procedures.
• Assist patients with scheduling internal or external referrals.
• Travel may be required for certain clients and health centers.

Qualifications

• 2 years Medical Assistant (MA) experience, with a preference for family practice.
• MA diploma/certification is preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in EMR and other relevant medical software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
