Summer Translation Support
Job Description:
The candiidate will need to be fluent in both speaking, reading and writing in either Nepali, Somali, Spanish, as well as in English. You will be communicating with families and translating information for the district registrar. Furthermore, you will be making translated videos and audio recording for family communication of a variety of different topics. In addition, canidiates will need to be able to understand the enrollment process and walk parents through the completion of each section of enrollment if they need help.
Furthermore, families will need help with completing all required annual forms. Candiidates will need to be good with organizing files, competent with using a printer/scanner to scan student documents, ability to answer phones and direct calls accordingly and with confidence, ability to positvely and confidently interact with families and be able to exlpain to parents what the enrollment forms mean.

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION:
District Office Registration Intern
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Director of Pupil Services & D.O. Registrar
JOB GOAL:
To provide translation services and support to families as they enroll students and
complete required forms for the school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Interest/experience in translation in Nepali, Somali and Spanish in both spoken and
written language.
? Familiarity of recording translations via audio and video
? Interest/experience with Windows platforms & other Microsoft products as well as the
Google platform
? Must be self-motivated & able to work alone to complete projects as needed
? Ability to communicate clearly & assist families in completing the enrollment process
? Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of
Education may find appropriate
Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? Ability to ask questions and find information to provide to families
? Possess high attention to detail
? Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in both the home language
and English
? Ability to interact with colleagues, faculty, staff and students without conflict
? Ability to both operate and effectively communicate using the phone
? Ability to take direction and/or constructive criticism in a positive manner
? Thorough knowledge of native Microsoft software loaded district systems
? Physical capacity to carry and transport heavy equipment (80 pounds)
? Ability to work flexible hours in emergency crisis mode
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
? Complete live translation for families in-person or via phone
? Complete video and audio recordings for translation purposes
? Manage calls to the District Office and distribute to the appropriate people
? Welcome individuals to the district office and work with them to complete enrollment
paperwork.
? Perform other duties as assigned

update, and maintain student enrollment records with a high level of accuracy and data
integrity
? Apply standardized coding practices for student demographics, enrollment status, and
program participation in alignment with district and state reporting requirements
? Upload, organize, and verify student documentation within the SIS, ensuring
completeness and compliance with data management procedures
? Assist in data validation processes to review records for accuracy and support reporting
and auditing needs
Digital Process Documentation & Instructional Media
? Use screen casting tools (e.g., Screencastify) to design and produce instructional videos
demonstrating enrollment procedures, district website navigation, and Student
